Within VUIIS, we are currently undertaking an exciting initiative focused on the development of high-performance RF coils for our small animal scanners, ranging from 4.7 Tesla to 15 Tesla. These scanners play a pivotal role in our research studies, and optimizing the performance of the animal coils is crucial for enhancing imaging outcomes.
In this project, we address the unique challenges posed by the relatively light loading cases of the animal coils, where minimizing coil noise is paramount to achieving optimal imaging results. This provides an excellent opportunity for individuals, particularly beginners, including undergraduate students, to apply their skills and delve into the intricacies of RF coil technology.
Participants in this project will not only gain hands-on experience but will also have the chance to deepen their understanding of the theoretical foundations and discover innovative techniques associated with RF coils. Join us in pushing the boundaries of imaging science and contributing to advancements in small animal imaging technology.
